Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Assignment: paint a portrait of someone in the news. I was reading that story about Iran finally letting the (American) hikers that were arrested a couple of years ago for accidentally crossing the border and held on spying charges go free. It led to a story about Ahmadinejad making a speech to the U.N. about how the rest of the world should start behaving as Iran does. Then I wondered where I had heard that one before...

MERKINS EVERYWHERE

This song has been stuck in my head for the past eighteen hours straight. Warning: this video contains a lot of crotch.



Amanda Palmer, you continue to blow my mind. If you just watched that video and were like "Whaa?" the full story can be found here, although you really shouldn't need more of an answer than "Because."

I just can't get over how delightful this video is. Admit it. You knew it was going to be good when you saw all those ladies lifting up their skirts. I like to think of it as a companion to the classic FOTC ditty, Sugar Lumps.
