planning for the frenzy
35 days until Script Frenzy 2011, and you know what that means. Planning! Outlining! World-building!
I'm actually going to be re-writing and continuing a story that I started during last year's Script Frenzy, before quitting 30 pages in when I realized I had no central conflict and there were a few glaring plot holes that I could not address. This is why we plan.
Hopefully this will be the year I get some headway on writing it. My "big idea" project. Yes, the one I hope to turn into a graphic novel. The one I've been making up in my head since senior year of high school when our bus was pulling away from the Studio Ghibli Museum in Tokyo.
Think alternate-universe-Great-Depression-era-Western. At least, for part 1 (the part I plan on writing in April). The rest will follow.
Needless to say, I am excited. So come on. You've got more than a month to think about what you're going to write. 100 pages. 30 days. You in?
